I'm a wife, mother, and author. My husband is my co-author and we moved to the Greater Atlanta Metro area in the summer of 2014. While I have always written some, I didn't turn it into anything serious until after my diagnosis with MS in early 2015. Since then, I have focused a lot on what I wanted to get done, verses things I had just been putting off until "later".

A great article! I had an experience with this type of reviewer last year and they destroyed my confidence. It took me 3 months to recover.

It can be be very hard. I had a very harsh person that read only my description and the first few pages. They were so cruel that I was read to take my novel down from Amazon and just give up on everything. Thankfully, I had a good friend that was able to talk to me and give me some excellent advice. As authors and writers we can help each other with our craft without tearing each other down. We need to always be mindful of that.
